GUIDE / SPAIN

Hiring in Spain: three steps that should not be confused

The employee record, the contract and official communications each have their own purpose.

1. Prepare the employee record

Collect the personal, contact and employment information needed for the role. Check spelling, identity references, start date, work centre, working time and contractual conditions before using the record to prepare a document.

2. Prepare and sign the contract

Use the company’s approved template and review any conditions specific to the employee. A signature records agreement to the document; it is not evidence that a government registration has been accepted. SLNTask’s real signature provider and complete signing flow remain in configuration.

3. Complete the official procedures

The employer requests the employee’s TGSS registration before work begins. Contract details are communicated to the public employment service within ten working days after conclusion. The responsible professional should confirm the applicable procedure and any special case.

Where Contrat@ fits

SEPE’s Contrat@ supports authorised employers and professional representatives. It accepts form-based data, XML files and web services. These are official communication channels; creating a PDF in an HR application is a separate action.

Assign responsibility

Decide who prepares the information, who reviews it and who submits it. Keep the actual receiving authority’s receipt together with the case. An internal “ready” status should never be mistaken for official acceptance.

What SLNTask does today

The preview offers an employee record and contract-template preparation in separate modules. It does not directly submit to SEPE or TGSS. Adviser delivery and official integrations remain future work, with no automatic submission implied.
